Arthur Farret
Photographer-author based in Toulouse, France, Arthur built his photographic practice by confronting the street. Inspired by the greatest, from Joe Greer to Bruce Gilden, Steve McCurry and Eric Bouvet.
Always attracted by global geopolitical dynamics, he specializes in photoreportage. Always looking for change, he is looking at the use of an alternative medium to the digital practice of photography. Silver photography has appeared as a logic in the search for aesthetics. Since then, from the 24x36 format to the 4x5 room to the medium format, he continues to seek to perfect his eye, as well as his photographic approach.
At the same time, he perfects an author's work where he documents his time with a personal and varied approach, on Man and the world around him.
At the beginning of 2021, with his friends met during a University Diploma in Photojournalism, Matthieu Pujol and Mael Seigneurie, he co-created the COLLECTIF MAM. It is a collective with a human vision of photography and reporting.
"Collective work offers an incredible dynamic, especially in photography, where there are as many photographic ways and approaches as photographers."
Today, from the Middle East, to the gum-soiled roads of the Toulouse suburbs, through the countryside of his native Southwest, he tirelessly documents the world he rubs shoulders with.
Arthur Is a member of Hans Lucas Agency since 2022.
